Three Reasons to Rock the Rompers

Rompers have been a staple in fashion for decades, they originated as children’s outfits, and in the 50’s Elvis rocked one too! I think if Elvis approves it must be worth a second glance. Let’s find out, they’ve been around this long, so what’s so special about them? After doing some research, I’ve found they’re perfect for any body type, functional, and are versatile for work or play.

If you need one outfit to go to work, out on a first date, and a comfy beach outfit all in one, rompers are the perfect option. I’ve worn mine out to the pool during the day and have gone to dinner in the same one that night! Depending on your accessories, a romper looks fabulous on any occasion. It’ll go perfectly with that new pair of pumps or look great with a fun pair of flip-flops. No matter how you style it, it’s comfortable all day long and you always look your best!

A romper is a super functional option as well. All you need to do is slip it on and you’re ready to go! Unlike some dresses that give the dreaded Marilyn Monroe wind-up-your-dress look, a romper isn’t going to fly up and show everyone your underwear. We all know Monroe is the only one to pull that off.

Rompers can either have a flowy, loose fabric or a tight fit. A flowy style gives a great straight lined look to any body type while the tight fit style accents all your favorite curves! Playing around with fun patterns can highlight your gorgeous body as well. The popular Aztec designs will minimize your curves in darker colors and heightens them when you wear light colors. I love how there are so many types, and since I’m quite slender, I opt for light patterns to create a more curvaceous look.

Also don’t forget about your beautiful legs; floor length rompers accent long legs nicely and short style rompers give the appearance of longer legs, to all of us that can’t quite see over the fridge. The possible styles that work for you are extensive, and hey, a nice V-neck never hurt anybody!

You can rock anything you want, and a romper is a lovely choice. I love going out to dinner while sporting one. When it comes down to it, you’ll look chic without needing two separate pieces, and you'll never have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction. Now go and have that beautiful beach, work, or first date day that you deserve!

Rock your romper!
